The Giant Coconut Crab primarily eats fish, seeds, fresh fruits, and carcasses. but by the name if this creature you might think it eats coconut, IT DOES! but its not his primary source of food, they have it occasionally. that means they have really strong claws, strong enough to tear open coconut! The Giant Coconut Crabs are the largest terrestrial arthropods in the world! They're leg span reaches about 70-80 cm, some even reaches to 1 meter! they weigh about 4 kg. The Coconut Crab has 5 pairs of legs, and 1 pair is hidden under their main body. Both gender use their legs to clean themselves. Coconut Crabs are found in 2 colours, one ranging from red to orange, and the other blue.
The Giant Coconut Crab generally lives under the roots of a tree, because it is the coolest, most moist place to prevent dehydration.
